Inside Jordanian mosques - such as the King Abdullah I Mosque in Amman, which welcomes non-Muslim visitors - women are expected to cover their hair, shoulders and knees, and men should wear a shirt and long trousers. Shoes are removed at the entrance, and silence is the rule.
A scarf is provided at many sites, but bring your own to be safe.
